Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has been dealing with multiple rib fractures for multiple weeks, according to reports from Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer. Glazer said the injury dates back to Week 3.
Andrew Luck dealing with fractures, according to report; fantasy owners frustrated
An injury might explain some of the Indianapolis quarterback’s struggles so far. We break down the fantasy implications.

Luck missed a pair of games earlier in the season, officially with a shoulder injury, though it seems now like the ribs were likely a factor as well. Since his two missed games, Luck has thrown six touchdowns against two interceptions, with 645 passing yards in the two games combined.
Fantasy impact: It’s tempting to blame Luck’s subpar performance this year on this injury, if the reports are true. Of course, the quarterback’s two worst games of the season were in Weeks 1 and 2, which -- again, if reports are true -- were before he ever suffered the injury.
You’d have to think Luck is still bothered by something, though. He and the Colts play the Carolina Panthers Monday night and host the Denver Broncos in Week 9 before a Week 10 bye. If Luck can just maintain through those two games against two strong defenses, the week off will likely do him significant good. He’s still a must-start quarterback, even if it’s not as thrilling a start as it seemed at the start of the season.
