    The Jazz almost beat the Warriors

    The Warriors weren’t at their best. They were never able to muster up the knockout punch they’ve delivered so often this season. They built up an 11-point lead at one point, but the Jazz were never really out of it, trailing by just five at the half and four heading into the fourth quarter.

    But in the end, it was Curry -- just like it always is. This three with 51.4 seconds left gave the Warriors a 104-101 lead, one they wouldn’t give up.

    Chris Paul strains rib muscle

    The severity of the injury was not reported. Paul has missed three games this season due to a strained groin, but this injury appeared to be unrelated.

    Paul, in his 11th season, is averaging 17.5 points and 8.4 assists per game. The Clippers have failed to live up to expectations so far this season. A win over the Blazers would improve the Clippers to 10-8, but for a team that was a win away from the Western Conference Finals, they have underachieved.
