The Minnesota Vikings had to finish Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams without quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, as the second-year player was forced from the game with what appears to be a concussion. Bridgewater suffered the injury in the fourth quarter when he was hit after a slide with a late hit from CB Lamarcus Joyner that drew a 15-yard penalty and some criticism after the game, which the Vikings ultimately won 21-18 in overtime.
Teddy Bridgewater suffers concussion; fantasy status up in the air
The Minnesota quarterback was concussed on a fourth-quarter hit. We break down the fantasy implications.

Bridgewater was 13-of-21 passing in the game with 144 yards and an interception before leaving. He also had three carries for 17 yards and a touchdown, and ran for a two-point conversion. In his absence, veteran Shaun Hill filled in, attempting six passes and completing two of them for 15 yards.
Fantasy impact: We’ll see in the coming days how Bridgewater does going through the league’s concussion protocol. The Vikings play a late-afternoon Week 10 game at the Raiders. We’ll see if he can get through the protocol to play Sunday.
At this point, Bridgewater has been so underwhelming in his second season that he’s not really close to fantasy lineups even when healthy. Better just to look elsewhere for a fantasy quarterback even if Bridgewater is fine for Sunday. If he can’t play, Hill would be the starter, and he offers similarly low upside.
