The 139th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is set to get underway on Monday. The two-day event will take place at the Piers 92/94 in New York and at Madison Square Garden. The second day will take place solely at Madison Square Garden.

Throughout the event, dogs will perform various exercises and will compete in cosmetic competitions. The coveted title is, as always, the Best in Show award. This year, there are over 2,700 entrants, and every single one of them has competed in other dog shows around the world. The Westminster Dog Show is “the” show, however.
Each dog will compete first against their own breed, though the winners among the individual breeds (the Best in Breed) will compete for Best in Show. There are seven groups for them to be sorted in, including Sporting, Terrier, Herding, Hound, Non-Sporting, Toy and Working.
If you’re going to watch on TV, the first day will be broadcast on CNBC, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The second day will be broadcast on USA Network beginning at the same time. The time-slot is from 8-11 p.m. There will be a live stream of the event at the official website and via the official 2015 Westminster Show app.
