Jeff Jarrett breaks down WrestleMania live Sunday night with SB Nation

SB Nation’s WrestleMania coverage is live from the Bay Area this Sunday. Those of you who will be watching along on pay-per-view or the WWE Network can join SB Nation and Jeff Jarrett, 12-time World Champion and founder of Global Force Wrestling, for analysis of each match, as well as a special announcement about the future of GFW.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

The night’s first event, a traditional 20-man battle royal, will start the “WrestleMania Kickoff” preshow exclusively on WWE Network. The field is diverse: The Miz, Curtis Axel, Ryback, Fandango, Adam Rose, Zack Ryder, Jack Swagger, Titus O’Neil, Darren Young, Big Show, Kane, Erick Rowan, Damien Mizdow, Sin Cara, Goldust, Heath Slater, Mark Henry, Konnor, Viktor and Hideo Itami.

JJ: “It’s a controversial pick, but I’ve got to go with Ryback. I think the dark horse is the obvious -- but maybe not so obvious -- Big Show.”

4-Way WWE Tag Team Championship

WWE hasn’t been known for its reverence of the tag team division in recent years, and here the title match misses the cut for the actual pay-per-view event and will instead close out “WrestleMania Kickoff.” New champions Tyson Kidd and Cesaro will face The New Day’s Big E & Kofi Kingston, Los Matadores and The Usos.

JJ: “When you’ve got eight bodies in the ring it’s a recipe for chaos. Whether that’s controlled chaos or not, we’ll have to see. There’s a lot of talent here, but I expect the Usos to rise above the rest and really shine, both in their ability to compete and entertain.”

7-Man Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Title

The match format that has turned talent into superstars at countless pay-per-views is anchored by Daniel Bryan, last year’s WrestleMania darling. Joining him are champion Bad News Barrett, Stardust, Dolph Ziggler, Luke Harper, Dean Ambrose and R-Truth.

JJ: “This is one I’m really looking forward to. I think this event has the best chance to become the show-stealer. I like Dolph Ziggler here, he’ll have the opportunity to shine through with those seven guys. There’s plenty of ammunition and plenty of targets. I think Dolph is ready to rise to the occasion; he’s got a chance here to take that next step. Bryan has to be the obvious favorite, if not the fan favorite. But I like this event because each of these seven guys are distinct enough in ability and persona. That diversity in ingredients is what could make this match really special.”

Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins

Orton, a perennial ‘Mania main-eventer, will take a small step back this year and cap off his singles feud with Seth Rollins. Much like the main event, this could be a guard-changing type of moment for a former Shield member.

JJ: “Rollins is definitely on the way up in his career, while Orton’s at the peak of his. Or is he? Randy always brings his ‘A’ game to WrestleMania ... not just his ‘A’ but ‘A-plus’ game when it’s a big-money match. I would say that Randy not being in the main event is something he’ll embrace, because I expect him to go over and beyond to still get that main event reaction.”

WWE Divas Tag Team Match

Normally the lone female match at ‘Mania puts the Divas singles title up, but this year four women will share the spotlight when the champion Bella Twins face AJ Lee & Paige.

JJ: “Traditionally the Divas championship is on the card, and I think in a WrestleMania setting a singles match can make it difficult for the Divas to outshine their male counterparts. But this format with these four personalities could end up being the sleeper of the show as easily as any of the other big men’s matches.”

U.S. Title: John Cena vs. Rusev

Orton’s not alone: Cena is out of the main event for a second consecutive ‘Mania, having worked a singles match against Bray Wyatt last year in New Orleans.

JJ: “John not having to carry the company on his back through WrestleMania season means he can focus only on this. He gets to leave nothing on the table and exceed expectations. Rusev should bring a couple oxygen tanks to ringside because he’ll be absolutely gassed at the end of this. He’s not on Cena’s level in big money matches, at least not yet.”

Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt

Year 1 post-“Streak” finds ‘Taker looking for a 1-0 Mania record against one of the most charismatic and unique young talents in the industry today.

JJ: “For years you could never bet against ‘Taker at ‘Mania, and that went for not only wins and losses, but also match quality. I think this year’s no different. I would’ve bet you and lost last year [vs. Brock Lesnar] but I’d put the farm on Undertaker this year. He’s always exceeded what’s expected of him and Sunday will be no different.”

Sting vs. Triple H

The greatest living professional wrestler to never work for the world’s biggest promotion has finally arrived at its biggest event, and against the real-life maestro of the corporation itself.

JJ: “From an emotional standpoint I’m invested in this match more than any other, having such a long history with Sting. I’ve watched his career from the Clash of Champions to the Starrcades to big matches in TNA, but at this stage of his career ... For Sting to arrive at the biggest match of his career north of 50 years old is a testament to the man they call ‘Sting.’ I’m excited he’s got this opportunity and I wish him nothing but the best. But: If you’ve ever watched one of Triple H’s WrestleMania matches, Sting has to realize he’s not walking into a traditional wrestling match. He’ll feel the effects of this weeks, if not months to come.”

WWE Championship: Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns

The UFC’s loss is pro wrestling’s major, major gain. The incumbent is in his vicious prime and the challenger is at the precipice of a career-changing moment.

JJ: “With the ESPN announcement and Dana White’s comments I believe the proverbial gas has been poured on the fire. There’s a lot of moving parts here: Roman Reigns is very fresh to this dance as a singles wrestler. I would say that he’s got the deck stacked against him in numerous ways. We’ll talk more about that on Sunday, but I’ve also got a funny feeling that Roman comes out of this match as the winner in more ways than a ‘1, 2, 3.’”
