William & Mary once again seemed doomed to heartbreak: a big Hofstra three had the No. 1 seed in the CAA Tournament down late in double OT with just a few ticks left. They gave the ball to Marcus Thornton, who had 37 points, and he was defended well. But he got the ball to Daniel Dixon:

Hofstra’s full-court heave hit the scoreboard, giving W&M the ball and the win. Of course, Tribe fans know their work isn’t done yet -- the team seemed on the verge of making the tourney for the first time last year, but blew a late lead and lost the championship game in overtime.
