Boston Marathon 2015: Start time and schedule for the weekend

The world’s oldest annual marathon gets underway on Monday.

The 119th running of the Boston Marathon gets underway on Monday, and this year’s 26.2-mile race should be as exciting as ever. The historic race runs from Main Street in Hopkinton through Boylston Street in Copley Square.

Meb Keflezighi of California won the men’s open division a year ago, his first victory at Boston. Keflezighi is a veteran who also has a victory in the 2009 New York City Marathon under his belt. Rita Keptoo was the victor for the women last year, but was given a two-year doping ban in January.

Runners will navigate through eight different communities, including Boston and Heartbreak Hill, where the topography is rough and notorious for its difficulty.

We’ve got a complete schedule of start times for the various divisions below:

Start time (ET)
Mobility Impaired 8:50 a.m.
Push-rim Wheelchair 9:17 a.m.
Handcycles 9:22 a.m.
