The 119th running of the Boston Marathon gets underway on Monday, and this year’s 26.2-mile race should be as exciting as ever. The historic race runs from Main Street in Hopkinton through Boylston Street in Copley Square.
Boston Marathon 2015: Start time and schedule for the weekend
The world’s oldest annual marathon gets underway on Monday.

Runners will navigate through eight different communities, including Boston and Heartbreak Hill, where the topography is rough and notorious for its difficulty.
