It seemingly had been a while since Mike Trout did something amazing on a baseball field, but he came through -- as he usually does -- on Thursday afternoon.
Mike Trout makes spectacular catch to save Angels’ win over A’s
He went 2-for-3 with a couple of walks at the plate, too!

The Los Angeles Angels outfielder made a leaping, over-the-shoulder grab at the center field wall at O.co Coliseum to preserve a 6-5 win over the Oakland Athletics. The Angels entered the ninth inning with a 6-2 lead before Vinnie Pestano and Huston Street combined to allow three runs on four hits and a pair of walks to let the A's back into the game.
Oakland had runners on second and third when Ike Davis lined a 1-2 changeup from Street in Trout's direction. A hit would have easily plated both runs and given the A's the victory, but ...
NOPE.
Trout was his typical solid self at the plate, as well, finishing 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of walks.
Huston Street on Trout's game-saving catch: "I just about pulled an oblique doing a fist-pump."
