The 141st Kentucky Oaks runs Friday, the annual precursor to the Kentucky Derby that showcases the top three-year-old fillies. Stellar Wind, ridden by Victor Espinoza, is the favorite at 7-2.
Kentucky Oaks 2015: Post time and TV schedule
Stellar Wind leads a top-heavy crowd of 14 at this year’s Oaks.

Stellar Wind won both of her starts this year, including a convincing win at the Santa Anita Oaks that sent her to Churchill Downs a favorite. She’s joined by Condo Commando and I’m a Chatterbox, the co-second choices, at 4-1 odds.
Lovely Maria -- trained by Larry Jones, along with I’m a Chatterbox -- is next at 5-1.
The Oaks, run at 1 1/8 miles, has produced many memorable moments of the past several years, and 2009 may be atop the list. That was the year Rachel Alexandra took her start as the favorite at 3-10 odds and somehow still delivered a performance that lived up to those expectations. She won by 20 1/4 lengths, a Kentucky Oaks record.
Two weeks later, she became the first filly in 85 years to win the Preakness Stakes, knocking off Kentucky Derby winner Mine That Bird. She was the first Kentucky Oaks winner ever to spoil a Triple Crown bid at the Preakness.
