On May 31, WWE will bring back the Elimination Chamber for a special WWE Network-exclusive pay-per-view. There will be two Elimination Chamber matches at the event, one for the WWE Tag Team Championship and one for the vacant WWE Intercontinental Championship. During Monday night’s RAW, WWE announced who would be competing in those matches.
WWE announces participants for both Elimination Chamber matches
Both the WWE Tag Team and Intercontinental Championships will be defended in the Elimination Chamber in two weeks. Now we know who will be fighting for both titles.

The WWE Tag Team Championship is currently held by The New Day, who are defending the titles under the “Freebird Rule” -- the rule states that any combination of two of the three team members may defend the title. They will have to fend off Tyson Kidd & Cesaro, Los Matadores, the Lucha Dragons, the Prime Time Players and the Ascension if they hope to leave Elimination Chamber with the belts.
The Intercontinental Championship was vacated last week, when Daniel Bryan announced he would not be able to defend it due to injury. The title will be up for grabs at Elimination Chamber, with Ryback, Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth, King Barrett and Rusev all going for the gold.
The Elimination Chamber is a domed cage that surrounds the entire ringside area. Inside the cage, surrounding the ring, are four “pods.” The Chamber matches will begin with two participants (or teams). Every five minutes a random pod will open and a new competitor (or team) will join the fray. It is single-elimination rules, where a pinfall or submission eliminations a person or team. Last one standing wins the match.
