Eliminated speller denies mom’s kiss on national TV

Cole Shafer-Ray was just eliminated from the 2015 National Spelling Bee. It was a pretty intense moment for a 14-year-old on national TV, so he’d rather play it cool.

Sorry, Mom! He’ll grow out of this phase soon.
