Sepp Blatter declares ‘I am the president of everybody’

Sepp Blatter was re-elected for a fifth term as president of FIFA and boy, did he have some things to say.

Firstly, who doesn’t love a good movie reference, even better when it’s used wrong:

We thought we’d scoop out the best ones. Why don’t you be the judge if this guy really is the best man for the job.

On trying to show some humility:

“I like you. I like my job, and I like to be with you. I’m not perfect.”

When addressing the FIFA Congress, he bragged in a nautical way:

”For the next four years I will be in command of this boat called FIFA. We will bring it back off shore.

Again, he makes it clear who is boss:

It is my congress, I have the right to make the closing remarks. This is a very important congress. You see I am in a good mood. I was a little bit nervous today, but now I am the president of everybody, I am the president of the whole Fifa.

This game is important, but more important, enjoy life!

Then he gives a nod to women:

We need in this committee women. We need ladies.

And finally, he gives us happy!

Together we go. Let’s go Fifa! Let’s go Fifa!
