The 2015 X Games in Austin get underway on Thursday, the first of four days of events comprising all manner of action sports. This year’s X Games has plenty to offer, though there’s a lot of buzz surrounding the Moto X QuarterPipe event. That’s new to the tournament this year and should be relatively self-explanatory. Unfortunately, that event doesn’t get underway until Sunday afternoon.
X Games Austin 2015: Time, TV schedule and live stream for Day 1
The 2015 X Games in Austin get started with flat-track racing and the Moto X Step Up on Thursday.

Thursday is also somewhat sparse as far as events go, but there are two to hold your attention. The first is the Harley Davidson Flat-Track Racing, with the first round, last-chance qualifying and final in succession. Then there’s the Moto X Step Up Final, and that concludes the day’s action. Jared Mees and Kenny Coolbeth Jr. are the favorites to win the Flat-Track, while Ronnie Renner, the defending gold medalist, is the favorite to win the Moto X Step Up Final. Bryce Hudson and Libor Podmol are also in the discussion, though Renner is the heavy favorite.
Those events get underway at 8:30 p.m. ET and are expected to run through 10:30 p.m. ESPN has the televiison broadcast throughout most of the X Games, and there's live streaming options available for every major event. In addition to the television coverage, viewers will also be able to follow the action from Austin live online thanks to an online stream from WatchESPN.
