Costa Rica lost to Mexico because of a terrible penalty call

With a few of their key players injured, Costa Rica was at a slight disadvantage against Mexico in the Gold Cup quarterfinals. The game was scoreless throughout regulation and into extra time. But as the game was winding down, Mexico got a penalty call — probably a lucky one at that — securing a victory.

Needless to say, Mexico coach Miguel Herrera was ecstatic despite the iffy call.
