Danielle Blakeney is a Special Olympics badass who once competed on a broken foot

The 24-year-old U.S. gymnast will be competing in the Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles.

Danielle Blakeney, a 24-year-old gymnast from Kentucky will be competing at this year’s World Games. A gymnast since the age of eight, this will be her second trip to the Games after competing in Greece in 2011, and this girl is a force to be feared. During last year’s state competition, Danielle broke her foot in multiple places. Her mom pulled her from competition, but Danielle wasn’t having it. She re-entered herself and won three silver and two gold medals.

Here’s more on Danielle. The rhythmic gymnastics competition begins on July 26.
