This Pirates/‘Family Matters’ mashup continues a welcome trend

It’s a good way to get “We Are Family” stuck in your head, too.

Last week, the San Francisco Giants caused a minor Internet sensation with their promotional video for “Full House Night” at the park, getting some of the players to recreate the intro to the show.

This Pirates/Family Matters mashup wasn’t created by the team, but that makes it even more endearing somehow:

Now, Family Matters was in Chicago, but this gets the seal of approval because the last time the Pirates won the World Series, they were using Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family” as their theme song. There is no other sitcom that would work as well.

Buuuuuut, if you’re looking for a list of sitcoms in MLB cities, we have that for you. The correct geographical pairing for the Pirates? Mr. Belvedere. That’s the only baseball connection the show has, really.
