John Daly taken to hospital for evaluation, according to report

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

John Daly was taken to the hospital for evaluation on Saturday, according to a report by Yahoo Sports. The 49-year-old was playing a round at Deerfield Golf Club when he collapsed on the 18th tee box. He was taken by ambulance to a hospital in nearby Jackson, MS for tests.

The PGA Tour veteran hasn’t played well as of late. Most notable was his implosion at the PGA Championship after making 10 on one of Whistling Straits’ most difficult par-3s.

Here’s an update on Daly’s condition.

Update: According to his manager, Daly suffered a collapsed lung but has been discharged from the hospital and is recovering.
