Coldplay once made a music video so regrettably bad whatever they do at Super Bowl 50 will seem genius in comparison

Coldplay’s “Adventure of a Lifetime” has some seriously addictive guitar riffs, a few catchy hooks and, well, some genuinely painful lyrics. It also has a music video where computer animated apes play instruments, dance and perform to the lead single from the band’s latest album, “A Head Full of Dreams.”
This raises a few very specific thoughts:
-Why? (Please note the beyond shameless product placement)
-Computer-generated animation is expensive! Do ... Do you think they know that?
-Who exactly came up with this absurd treatment?
-Whyyyyyyyy?
It’s not immediately known if Coldplay’s halftime show will feature apes, CGI or otherwise.
Chris Martin and co. will play Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., Sunday, Feb. 7. Thank God Queen Bey will be there to help save Coldplay from themselves.
