Carolina’s Ted Ginn Jr. fumbles a punt after his teammate knees him in the stomach

Ouch!

The Carolina Panthers are without Cam Newton, and things haven’t gotten off to the best start against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

This particular gaffe happened on special teams, though. The Panthers were receiving a punt, and as Ted Ginn Jr. was set to receive it, his own teammate, Teddy Williams, ran into him and knocked the ball right out of his grasp.

Luckily for Ginn and Williams, the Buccaneers weren’t able to do anything with the great field position, as rookie kicker Roberto Aguayo missed a 33-yard field goal.

It doesn’t seem like things could get much worse for the Panthers at this point, but time will tell.
