The New York Giants announced on Thursday afternoon that kicker Josh Brown would not be joining the team in London to face the Rams as a result of documents that showed he admitted to domestic violence against his wife.
Robbie Gould flying to London to join the Giants as Josh Brown’s replacement
The Giants have a new kicker after recent documents revealed Brown admitted to abusing his now ex-wife.

Thursday evening, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that former Chicago Bears kicker Robbie Gould would be flying out to London to join the Giants. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported it is a one-year deal between Gould and the Giants:
The Giants are playing the Rams Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. ET at Twickenham Stadium in London.
Gould has not played in the NFL in 2016, after spending 11 years with the Chicago Bears as one of the best kickers in the NFL. Gould had struggled in the 2016 preseason, and was released as the sixth-most accurate kicker in league history. He now stands at 10th all time.
This comes after a Thursday afternoon in which the NFL decided to reopen its investigation into Brown, who said he has “physically, verbally, and emotionally” abused Molly, his now ex-wife. On top of announcing that he would not be traveling with the team, the Giants stated that they would “remain supportive” of Brown, along with owner John Mara saying that Brown had admitted abuse to his wife in the past to the Giants.
