Football referees have one of the toughest jobs in the world. They have to call penalties and spot the ball in or out, or past the first down marker at a margin of inches while massive bodies collide all around them. They have to run up and down a 100-yard field for damn near four hours, and keep their cool while coaches and players and fans scream at them for every little mistake.
This Vikings-Eagles skirmish is so heated, even the ref is throwing elbows
Referees are people, too.

Sometimes you snap.
This back judge was having NONE OF THAT when Minnesota Vikings receiver Stefon Diggs and Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Jordan Hicks started tussling in the end zone. This is a good reminder that referees are human beings, too. They can sometimes run out of patience, and they can definitely throw their weight around if you don’t cooperate.
