Cavaliers White House visit: Live stream for Cleveland’s meeting with President Obama
Obama will congratulate the 2016 NBA Champs on Thursday afternoon, one day before they play the Wizards.
LeBron James will be making his third post-championship White House trip. However, since James was a member of the Miami Heat when he visited after championships in 2012 and 2013, it’s his first appearance representing the Cavaliers.
The celebration comes on the same day that president-elect Donald Trump arrives at the Oval Office to begin the transition of presidential power.
Obama has greeted seven NBA champions and five different teams during his time in office. The Cavaliers join the Warriors, Mavericks, Lakers, Spurs, and Heat on the list of teams to be welcomed by the President.
Two days before the election, James and J.R. Smith campaigned for Hillary Clinton at a rally in Cleveland. We’ll see if Smith keeps his shirt on in Obama’s presence.
