The Rams are maybe, finally going to give the first overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft the chance to play in a real football game. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Rams are considering making Jared Goff the starter next week at home against the Dolphins. But it all depends on what Case Keenum does this week.
The Rams might finally be ready to play Jared Goff, but it still depends
So you’re saying there’s a chance?

The Rams play the Jets this week in New Jersey. If Keenum struggles in this game, they’ll consider playing Goff next week ... emphasis on the word consider, because they clearly aren’t 100 percent comfortable playing the guy they traded away a boatload of draft picks to get.
Keenum has struggled all season, tossing 11 interceptions to just nine touchdowns. The entire Rams offense has been bad, scoring an average of 16 points per game, the worst mark in the league this season. Because of head coach Jeff Fisher’s intransigence, the offensive struggles have been brushed aside. Even Todd Gurley has struggled.
Fisher has said that despite the offensive problems, the team had no reason to make changes, including at the quarterback position. The Rams wouldn’t change the playbook just for Goff, so if he does start, don’t expect dramatically different results than what the Rams have had from Keenum.
