Blake Bortles didn’t look interested in making a tackle to stop his 9th career pick-6

The Jaguars look fed up with being the Jaguars.

Blake Bortles has a reputation for throwing back-breaking interceptions and it took him all of three minutes to throw a pass into the arms of Houston Texans cornerback Kareem Jackson on Sunday.

There have been plenty of reasons for the Jacksonville Jaguars to be frustrated in 2016 after a 2-6 start. The defense hasn’t been good and Bortles has seemingly regressed. But the frustrations aren’t a good excuse for Bortles to mail it in.

After throwing the interception, Bortles didn’t make much of an effort to bring down Jackson after the cornerback cut back to the middle of the field:

The interception is the 46th in the career of Bortles, who is making his 38th start. It’s also his ninth interception returned for a touchdown.
