Blake Bortles can’t even throw the ball into the ground without turning it over

The Jaguars can’t catch a break.

Blake Bortles bounced back from an early pick-six to lead the Jacksonville Jaguars on a touchdown drive and was doing well on another drive, until one of the wackiest turnovers of the season ended it.

When the Houston Texans sniffed out a screen, Bortles made the right decision to throw the ball at the feet of T.J. Yeldon and kill the play. Unfortunately for Bortles, he threw the ball directly off Yeldon’s right foot, sending it straight into the arms of Whitney Mercilus.

It was initially ruled an interception, but it was later changed to a fumble because it was a backward pass to Yeldon. Either way, the result was still the same.

It’s been a “Murphy’s Law” kind of season for the Jaguars and this is just the latest, greatest way for the team to find a way to screw things up.
