Winston eluded four Chicago Bears defenders, some of them more than once, as he dropped back all the way into his own end zone. He then wound up and heaved a pass to Mike Evans, who came down with a spectacular reception.
It took him a full 12 seconds after the snap to make the throw. It’s unheard of for a quarterback to have that kind of time because they usually get sacked in cases like this.
On the next play, Winston found Freddie Martino for a 43-yard touchdown. Winston just played out of his dang mind.
That might be the play of the year, and combined with the touchdown on the next play, the best consecutive plays on any given drive this season.
