The Arizona Cardinals had an unfortunate injury just before the end of the first half Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers when Larry Fitzgerald took a hit from cornerback Jimmie Ward. He returned later in the game.
Larry Fitzgerald leaves game after hit against 49ers, but returns
He took a big hit before the half.

Carson Palmer hit Fitzgerald on a quick route over the middle when Ward immediately met Fitzgerald and hit him low, causing him to flip.
Fitzgerald was slow to get up, and departed for the locker room after getting off of the field. The Cardinals worked their way to the 1-yard line, but weren’t able to get in the end zone, settling for a field goal and a 20-10 halftime lead.
In his return, Fitzgerald looked pretty great, making his amazing grab:
Coming into Sunday, Fitzgerald had 56 catches on the season for a total of 554 yards and five touchdowns. The Cardinals’ season hasn’t gone nearly the way they had hoped coming into the year, and losing Fitzgerald would be just another disappointing development.
