The Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers did not disappoint on Sunday afternoon in what might have been the game of the season in the NFL, with the Cowboys sneaking past the Steelers, 35-30.
The Cowboys’ 35-30 win over the Steelers was the most entertaining NFL game of the season
What a game.

Le’Veon Bell got things started off offensively in this one, with a 2-yard touchdown reception from Ben Roethlisberger. The Steelers went for the two-point conversion at four points in the game. All were unsuccessful.
After a Dan Bailey field goal, Ben Roethlisberger threw for another touchdown pass before the end of the first quarter to give the Steelers a 12-3 lead after yet another 2-point conversion went bad.
Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott connected for a long 83-yard screen pass with just 12 seconds left in the first, as Elliott paced through the blocks and was off to the races to make it a 12-10 game.
After four consecutive field goals, two each from the Cowboys and the Steelers, things started to get very entertaining between two of the NFL’s most storied franchises.
Prescott and Dez Bryant were able to connect on a beautiful 50-yard touchdown pass, giving the Cowboys their first lead of the game.
The Steelers punched back. Bell was able to get in the end zone midway through the fourth quarter, and after another failed two-point conversion, the Steelers led, 24-23.
As the game was winding down, Prescott led the Cowboys on a 75-yard drive that lasted nearly six minutes. It ended with a 14-yard rush by Elliott, then a failed 2-point conversion attempt to make it a 29-24 Cowboys lead.
Roethlisberger then led the Steelers on a drive that was rather quick in response. He threw a touchdown pass to Antonio Brown after a fake spike that left the Cowboys defense frozen.
This put the Steelers up, 30-29, but the way this game had gone, the Cowboys weren’t going to go down easily, and they didn’t.
The Cowboys went on another 75-yard drive in the fourth quarter, but this one didn’t last nearly as long. The drive lasted five plays, but just 33 seconds, as Elliott was off to the races for a 32-yard touchdown run to put the Cowboys up, 35-30, after, you guessed it, a missed two-point conversion.
Prescott continued to make his case to be the Cowboys’ starter. Prescott threw the two longest touchdown passes of his career Sunday, and helped lead the Cowboys past the Steelers.
Elliott finished the game with 114 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, while accumulating 95 yards and one touchdown through the air. The rookie out of Ohio State has continued to impress, and came up big when the Cowboys needed it the most.
The loss puts the Steelers at 4-5 on the year, having lost four consecutive games. They are a game behind the Ravens for the lead in the AFC North, and just a game ahead of the Bengals.
The Cowboys now sit at 8-1, and have silenced any doubters with a win of this caliber on Sunday.
