Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert missed much of the Bengals first half of the season. He’s gotten two games under his belt, with Monday night his third.
The Bengals’ ‘Star Wars’ formation was a Jedi mind trick on the Giants’ defense
It worked like a charm.

The Bengals lined up in a formation that left two lineman, running back Jeremy Hill, and tight end Tyler Kroft lined up at the numbers to the left.
Eifert was close to the offensive line, with A.J. Green and Brandon LaFell lined up wide on the right side.
This allowed Andy Dalton to find Eifert wide open, as they left the Giants mismatched when it came to Eifert, and it resulted in a 71-yard gain for the Bengals.
These strange formations work better sometimes more than others, and this was a case where it was perfect.
Jon Gruden called it, the Star Wars formation.
A sweet name, for a sweet play.
