Let’s take a moment to appreciate the artistry of this touchdown.

Odell Beckham Jr. broke Adam Jones’ ankles en route to the end zone in the Giants’ 21-20 Monday Night Football win over the Cincinnati Bengals, and the play was a thing of beauty.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the artistry of what Beckham did on this play.

Jones is tasked with covering Beckham. He’s in position, and Beckham pauses on the route.

Beckham pivots quickly and pauses again, just for a moment. Jones thinks this is it, and that Eli Manning is going to target Beckham here. Jones adjusts, expecting to stop Beckham short of the goal line.

Jones moves up to make the play, but it was a mistake. Manning holds onto the ball, and Beckham pivots again. Jones has to try to change direction quickly to establish coverage, but Beckham has him absolutely beat.

All Jones can do is try to catch up as Beckham sprints into the end zone, and it’s too late. There’s nothing to be done. Beckham hauls in the catch for a touchdown.

Here’s the play in real time.

Now, watch it again with this sound effect in the background.

Staying with the 80s theme, Beckham celebrated the touchdown by doing the “Thriller” dance, which was arguably the best celebration dance of the season.

It was a fitting celebration for one of the most exciting touchdowns this year.
