The Week 11 matchup between the Tennessee Titans and the Indianapolis Colts features division rivals meeting for the second time this season. We’ve got the fantasy projections courtesy of numberFire.

Tennessee Titans

For the first time this season quarterback Marcus Mariota threw four touchdown passes in a game. He out dueled Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Week 10 and beat him soundly. Mariota and the Titans posted 45 points on the board and he finished with 23 completions and 295 passing yards to go with his touchdowns. He’s looking more and more like the real deal as the weeks go by. The Tennessee Titans are now in playoff contention which is remarkable considering nobody was talking about that possibility at the start of the season. From a fantasy perspective he’s earned himself the right to start. Mariota should be able to keep the ball rolling against a Colts defense that has been generous for a number of years now.

Mariota will clearly look to tight end Delanie Walker throughout Sunday’s game. Walker has now scored a touchdown in three of the last four games and against the Packers had his best game of the season. Walker’s stat line from the contest read like this: 9 catches, 124 yards and a touchdown. Only four teams in the NFL have given up more points to tight ends than the Indianapolis Colts, so Walker should be poised to string together a second straight awesome performance in Week 11. Doing so will get him above his projections.

Indianapolis Colts

Like Mariota, Andrew Luck’s most recent outing was against the Green Bay Packers. However, his fantasy performance was not nearly as good. It came back in Week 9, as the Colts topped the Packers, 31-26. One would think Luck would have a lot to do with his team winning. He did against the Packers, but not so much from a fantasy perspective. He threw two interceptions to go with just one touchdown and 281 passing yards. A big win over the Tennessee Titans will likely mean a good stat line for Luck in Week 11. Consider Week 10 an anomaly as far as falling under his projected totals is concerned.

One of the reasons Luck underperformed last week is because running back Frank Gore rushed for two touchdowns. He added 60 yards rushing on 19 carries to go with those two scores. Gore’s best days are obviously behind him as he has been in the league a long time. He still does have value in PPR formats as Indy’s workhorse running back. Heading into Week 11, Gore will be up against a Titans defense that has been pretty good at limiting fantasy production out of the backfield. He may not be able to top his projections this time around especially because the Colts have been a pass-first team for a long time.
