Martin Truex Jr.’s car also caught fire in the massive wreck.

Edwards was the best running of the four title finalists when on a restart he attempted to block Logano (also title-eligible), resulting in Edwards cutting across Logano’s front-end and crashing into the inside wall.
In the aftermath, a chain-reaction accident ensued including Martin Truex Jr., whose car erupted into flames that engulfed the front of the No. 78 Toyota. No drivers involved were injured.
Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch were the beneficiaries of Edwards’ accident, as they moved to first and second in the provisional championship order.
NASCAR red-flagged the race for cleanup.
