The 90th recurrance of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is just about here, with the procession taking place at 9 a.m. ET on Thursday. The parade, which will begin at 77th Street and end at Macy’s Herald Square, will feature a handful of athletes and will be attended by over 3 million people, with several million more watching on television and online.

We’ve got the full route and map for the 90th iteration of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.


A live stream of the parade will be available online via Verizon’s YouTube channel. The parade will be broadcast on television via NBC, beginning at 9 a.m. and running for approximately three hours.
After beginning at 77th Street and Central Park West in Manhattan, the procession will proceed south at Columbus Circle before turning east onto Central Prak South. It will go down to 6th Avenue, turning south on 34th Street. From there, it will go west toward Macy’s Herald Square, officially ending at 34th Street and Seventh Avenue.
Attending the parade is free, but the route should be packed as usual, with plenty in attendance to see the famous balloon floats. Charlie Brown of Peanuts fame will be the most notable new balloon for this year’s parade. A float from Diary of a Wimpy Kid and a float from DreamWorks’ Trolls will also be on display.
Returning characters include Red from Angry Birds, Sinclair Oil’s Dino, The Elf of the Shelf, Hello Kitty, Ice Age’s Scrat, Paddington, Pikachu from Pokemon, the Pillsbury Doughboy, the Red Ranger from Power Rangers, Ronald McDonald, Eruptor from Skylanders, Spongebob Squarepants and Thomas the Tank Engine.
