The National Dog Show, one of three major dog shows sanctioned by the American Kennel Club, is set to be broadcast on NBC on Thursday following the traditional Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade. This year’s competition took place on Nov. 19 and Nov. 20, but results have been withheld until the tape delay airs on Thursday.

The prestigious National Dog Show is set for Thursday and we have all the info you need to watch online.


That broadcast will air right after the parade, beginning at 12 p.m. ET on NBC. A live stream will be available online at NBC Sports, beginninng at the same time.
Winners in the individual categories as well as the Best in Show winner are likely to be invited to the Crufts dog competition. The dogs will be separated into seven groups of competition, including herding, hound, non-sporting, sporting terrier, toy and working breeds.
The winners of the invidual breeds will advance to the group stage, and then a selection of dogs from those groups will advance to the competition for Best in Show.
The Skye Terrier won the competition last year, and terriers in general have been excellent in recent years, winning four of the last seven years. The wire fox terrier won the competition in 2011 and 2012, followed by the American Foxhound in 2013 and the Bloodhound in 2014.
