While we can all agree that while the food is the undisputed champion of Thanksgiving, the unsung hero of the holiday is all the sports that take place before and after the meal. But sometimes things can go horribly wrong.

Injuries

Off the top, it looks like Turkey Bowls have claimed more than one ACL. Please be careful when you’re playing. Always stretch before playing. Spending Thanksgiving in the ER doesn’t sound pleasant at all.

Is there a doctor in the house?

An Achilles injury is a terrible thing to suffer, but somehow this person found the best place to get one aside from a damn hospital. Still, the doctors don’t sound like they were rushing to help him out. Nope, not without a referral of some sort.

Bad good dog

Doesn’t that dog know that it has to be subbed in before taking the field? Also, ass-biting is typically frowned upon during games. No doubt this good dog made some bad football decisions.

Good tackling

Have you ever seen an Arn Anderson spinebuster? It’s a thing of beauty. Still, I hope that happened on the grass and not on concrete.

Hit the bench

Maybe loads of turkey, stuffing, and football don’t mix. It’s best to stay inside. May I recommend an alcoholic beverage and a nap?

What?

We have so many questions.

What’s your favorite Turkey Bowl memory?
