Jacksonville Jaguars coach Gus Bradley has a record of 14-44 in his fourth season with the team and that means he’s unlikely to be the coach for much longer. As expected, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network says “it would be a surprise” if Bradley is the Jaguars’ coach in 2017.

The Jaguars are 14-44 under Gus Bradley and that unsurprisingly means he could lose his job soon.

“Given the way that their season has gone, it is no surprise that he is very seriously in jeopardy,” Rapoport said Sunday morning. “Obviously, [there’s] potential that he could lose his job at the end of the season. It would be a surprise, in fact, if he was coach there in 2017. They have plenty of talent there, just have not gone right for him.”
There were high hopes for the Jaguars in 2016 after the team made big acquisitions in the offseason, but Jacksonville enters Week 12 with a dismal 2-8 record. Bradley’s career record is the worst in the Super Bowl era among coaches with at least 50 games under their belt.
But Bradley isn’t the only coach likely to be shown the door soon. Rapoport also mentioned Chicago Bears head coach John Fox and Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis as a pair on the hot seat.
Unlike the Jaguars and Bengals, expectations were tempered for Chicago. However, the 2-8 team is struggling on both sides of the ball and has regressed after Fox led the team to a 6-10 record in 2015.
Lewis is one of the longest tenured coaches in the NFL, behind only Bill Belichick. But despite holding the Bengals head coaching job since 2003, the team has yet to earn a postseason victory in seven trips. With Cincinnati at 3-6-1, it’s likely that the Bengals’ streak of five consecutive trips to the playoffs could be snapped and patience with Lewis may be through.
“The only thing I would mention here before we talk about how much in jeopardy he is: He still has a strong relationship with the owner; that could prove huge later this year,” Rapoport said of Lewis.
Possible coaches that could take over as head coaches include New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz, and Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn.
