1. Ben Zobrist rightfully felt ecstatic after his go-ahead double in the top of the 10th inning.
These are the 14 best photos from the Cubs’ Game 7 World Series win
Cursed no more! The Cubs have finally made it happen.

2. Anthony Rizzo’s excitement when Miguel Montero plated an insurance run to put the Cubs up two must have reflected the feeling of nearly every Cubs fan at that moment.
3. The Cubs, as expected, surged out onto the field after the final out, but poor Michael Martinez unfortunately ended up in the shot while just trying to hustle back to the dugout.
4. After getting two of the last three outs in the Cubs’ win, of course Carl Edwards Jr. earned the right to fly the W.
5. Out of the pandemonium, appropriately enough, pops out David Ross, in the midst of earning his triumphant final send off.
6. And yes, that send off included Anthony Rizzo and Jason Heyward carrying Ross off the field on their shoulders.
7. Meanwhile in Chicago, a city let out 108 years of suffering. To some, the Wrigley Field board reading “World Series Champions” must still seem like a scene from a dream.
8. A couple of fans decided to make their way above the fray, quite literally.
9. Back in Cleveland, the celebration began, but of course no Cubs World Series celebration would be complete without Bill Murray taking a stream of champagne to the face.
10. John Lackey’s already won the World Series twice before, but this win must have felt just as sweet.
11. Dexter Fowler seemed to have the right idea, putting on goggles before dumping his bottle of champagne.
12. Jon Lester, however, threw caution to the wind, going goggle-less as he prepared to pop open his bottle.
13. The spray of the champagne cascaded across the clubhouse.
14. And of course, Jake Arrieta was right in the middle of it.
This has been a once-in-a-lifetime moment for the Cubs and their fans, and presumably they will carry Wednesday night’s win with them forever.
