At the midway point of the season, it’s safe to call it an odd year for the NFL so far. Reviews are down, Thursday Night Football is even worse than it already was, and one of the highlights of the season was a sex toy tossed on to the field during a game between the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots.

Ratings are down, but we still found plenty of highlights at the midseason point worthy of emoji awards.

But dildo tossing wasn’t the only highlight. The NFL’s crackdown on celebrations didn’t stop us from getting an excellent twerk from Antonio Brown or Odell Beckham Jr.’s love affair with a kicking net, and the rules did allow us to have a hilariously robotic moment from Andrew Hawkins.
