Ryan Kesler tried to fight the son of a legendary NHL fighter and guess what happened

Max Domi also knows how to punch.

Max Domi’s height probably lured Ryan Kesler in on Friday.

After all, the 21-year-old Arizona Coyotes winger is 5’10. He’s mostly known for being a skilled scoring winger. Kesler, meanwhile, is 6’2.

But when Kesler agreed to fight Max on Friday, he quickly remembered who he was dealing with: the son of legendary NHL bruiser Tie Domi.

And, thus ...

Hopefully Kesler is okay — he needed help leaving the ice afterwards. He did seem alert and smiled at teammates, but that’s the kind of thing that’s phased fighting out of the game.

But at least the league knows the apple doesn’t fall far from the Domi tree.
