Jerick McKinnon injury update: Vikings RB questionable vs. Lions, for fantasy owners [Update]
Jerick McKinnon could return this week, but will it be enough to spark the Vikings’ lackluster offense?

The Minnesota Vikings are listing Jerick McKinnon as questionable to face the Detroit Lions in Week 9. McKinnon said Friday that he expects to play Sunday, according to Star Tribune reporter Matt Vensel.
McKinnon is dealing with an ankle injury in Week 7 that led to him missing Week 8. That helped lead to the Vikings’ offensive struggles over the past two games, both of which they have lost.
The second-year man practiced on both Thursday and Friday and should challenge to be Minnesota’s top running back. In six games, McKinnon has 68 rushes for 217 yards and one score to go with eight catches for 29 yards.
Fantasy Impact: Yahoo! ranks McKinnon as the 33rd-best back in Week 9. He would face a Lions defense allowing the 10th-fewest fantasy points to running backs this season.
Even if McKinnon is active this week, keep him on the bench while the Vikings attempt to re-establish their struggling offense.
