The 46th running of the New York City Marathon is nearly here. The race is set for Sunday, Nov. 6 and will begin at 9 a.m. ET. Many of the top runners in the world will be taking part, and while plenty of other people will take a few hours to finish, the front-runners should finish somewhere just past the two-hour mark.

This is how to watch the New York City Marathon on Sunday, the 46th running of the event.


The race will be broadcast locally by ABC7 and nationally by ESPN2. That means a live stream will be available online via the ABC7 website if you are located locally, while WatchESPN will carry the live stream nationally. That coverage will last approximately three hours. There will also be a pre-race show on all of those streams and channels.
The route is a 26.2 mile run starting in Staten Island, going through Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and an ending in The Bronx. There is a full route here, via the New York Marathon website. Runners start at the west side of the Verrazano bridge.
They will go through a variety of neighborhoods in Brooklyn and at the 12 mile mark will go into Queens from the Pulaski Bridge. They’l move into Manhattan via the Queensboro Bridge. They will then enter the Bronxx, will run through Central Park South, and the finish is at the Tavern on the Green.
