The Pittsburgh Steelers just had a bad overall Sunday afternoon against the Baltimore Ravens. They had one of the worst first-half performances we’ve ever seen, and then they had what might have been an even worse singular play.
The Steelers attempted the worst onside kick of all time
Just plain awful.

After making it a 21-14 deficit, Steelers kicker Chris Boswell committed the worst onside kick attempt we’ve ever seen.
It looked like a bad Rabona attempt by Boswell, and even he knew it was a complete failure. The Rabona is a way of kicking a soccer ball where the kicking leg gets wrapped around the back of the standing leg.
Knowing Boswell’s past, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he would try something like this. As ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler documented, he learned to play soccer when he was young. He said that he played soccer “as soon as I could walk,” when he was just 3.
This, however, was just awful.
The Steelers weren’t the only team struggling with onside kicks this week. The Rams tried one, but launched it 45 yards down the field instead.
