The Denver Broncos had a bit of a quarterback drama in the offseason, but all that faded when Trevor Siemian took the reins. Not ready to hand things over to rookie quarterback Paxton Lynch, the team named Siemian the starter at the beginning of the season. Last week, he was sidelined with a left foot injury and missed the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. As the Broncos prepare to face the Tennessee Titans in Week 14, Siemian will be the starter, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

The Broncos have their quarterback back this week.

After missing his second game of the season due to injury, Siemian will be back under center. During the Week 12 game in which he was injured, he totaled 368 passing yards and three touchdowns. He noticed the injury following the overtime loss against the Chiefs and noted earlier in the week that he was day-to-day but making progress.
“I think I’m getting better every day,” Siemian said. “[I’m] trying to do some different things this week and see how it holds up. I think I’m making some headway and we’ll see how it ends up.”
In his place, Lynch threw for just 104 yards in a 20-10 win over Jacksonville. Siemian watched the Week 13 game from the press box with the coaching staff and valued the experience of being on the other side of the headset.
“I thought it was a good experience,” Siemian said. “Obviously I was just trying to stay out of the way and let those guys do their things. But it was definitely interesting to see the game from up top and be on the headset.”
The second-year quarterback is trying to earn his spot as the long-term solution for Denver’s quarterback situation. But with a first-round draft pick right behind him, he needs to consistently improve and somehow get the 8-4 Broncos to the postseason. In 10 games this season, Siemian has recorded 2,396 passing yards, 15 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
