The San Diego Chargers have already lost one first-round draft pick Sunday in Melvin Gordon, and now their third overall pick from this past year, Joey Bosa, is hurt.

Bosa was being evaluated for a concussion after he injured himself trying to sack Cam Newton. Initially, Bosa had gotten up and walked off of the field on his own. He would later be taken to the locker room to be evaluated.

San Diego ruled him out of the rest of the game with a neck injury.

The Chargers’ rookie held out early on during the season, and missed the Chargers’ first four games because of a hamstring injury. He had two sacks and four tackles in his debut against Oakland. He’s got 5.5 sacks and 16 tackles on the season.
