Emmanuel Sanders fined for celebrating a touchdown by throwing a fastball

It looked like a strike!

Emmanuel Sanders finally got the Denver Broncos on the board against the Tennessee Titans in the fourth quarter to make it a 13-7 game.

For his celebration, Sanders stood like a pitcher on a baseball mound, and fired a strike. He was penalized for his celebration.

It was a good pitch, and he used the ball like a ball. Perhaps the referee could have “missed” this one.

Either way, the NFL was going to get Sanders. He was fined $12,154 on Friday for his unsportsmanlike conduct penalty resulting from the celebration. Gary Kubiak didn’t like it, as he told ProFootballTalk.

“He’s wrong. He knows that. He’s wrong,” Kubiak said. “You can’t do it. You can’t hurt your team.”

The celebration was still great.
