Eric Dickerson wasted no time dancing on Jeff Fisher’s grave.
Eric Dickerson will attend Rams games now that Jeff Fisher has been fired
“They need a real football guy.”

The Rams’ Hall of Fame running back had been at the center of an awkward controversy with the franchise after he claims Fisher did not want him on the team’s sideline during games. The story never seemed to die down as a “he said, he said” battle was waged through the press — especially after Dickerson said he would no longer attend games while Fisher was head coach in Los Angeles.
So, minutes after Fisher was let go, Dickerson went on Colin Cowherd’s radio show to weigh in on the state of the Rams.
“It’s something that had to happen,” Dickerson said. “When the players giving up on you, you have to make a change. It’s all about winning. The Los Angeles Rams fans deserve better than that. I just want us to win.
“I’m not hating on Jeff, I’m not mad at him. But I can’t feel sorry for a guy who’s made 35 million coaching. He’ll be OK. It is what it is.”
Dickerson continued by saying the Rams need “a real football guy” in L.A. before getting back to gloating about the decision to fire Fisher.
“When they cut players they say ‘we’re going in a different direction,’” Dickerson said. “Well we’re going in a different direction also.”
It’s really worth a listen to hear the joy in Dickerson’s voice.
The Rams play at Seattle on Thursday this week before finishing the season with two games at home. Dickerson said you can expect to see him there.
Later on Monday afternoon, Dickerson spoke on NFL Network, and said that Jim Harbaugh would be his choice to be the next Rams’ head coach.
“People ask me, I think Jim Harbaugh is the guy that can really possibly turn this program around,” Dickerson said. “I’ve seen what he’s done, I mean at Stanford they were 1-11, he turned that program around. He turned Andrew Luck into a No. 1 draft pick, turned the 49ers around from 7-9 to 13-3, turned Alex Smith’s career around when most people thought he was done. Kaepernick, he helped him be a top quarterback, he turned Michigan around.”
When questioned about whether or not him following Harbaugh on Twitter was a coincidence, Dickerson said that it indeed was.
As far as going to games, Dickerson said, “I’ll go to a game, of course I will. I said I wouldn’t go back as long as Jeff Fisher is coach so I’ll go back to a game.” Dickerson did note that he might not be back this season because of scheduling conflicts.
