The Seattle Seahawks tried a trick play against the Los Angeles Rams in the first quarter of Thursday Night Football. It definitely didn’t work.
Seahawks tried a trick play against the Rams that ended with Doug Baldwin falling on his butt
There was a whole lot happening here for the end result to be an incomplete pass.

Rookie wide receiver Tanner McEvoy took the direct snap. He handed the ball to wide receiver Tyler Lockett, who then tossed it to quarterback Russell Wilson. Wilson then went deep, attempting to hit Doug Baldwin in the end zone.
He didn’t.
Baldwin fell down in the end zone, and the ball was nearly intercepted by Rams safety Cody Davis. Even Davis didn’t get it done on this play. He almost pulled in the pick, but no. It was incomplete.
This was a whole lot of work for an incomplete pass. The Seahawks were eventually able to score on this drive, on an 8-yard Wilson pass to tight end Luke Willson, taking a 7-0 lead over the Rams.
