The Seahawks’ fake punt worked perfectly until the punter got crushed

A good fake punt is a lot of fun, that is until the punter just randomly drops the ball and then gets drilled.

Jon Ryan had the world in front of him, but somehow lost control of the ball. A big hit left him down for quite some time and entered him into the concussion protocol. After the game, he was taken to the hospital, but fortunately he should be OK.

His wife tweeted that he was ready to leave the hospital, but not without his new gear:

With the 24-3 win, the Seahawks clinched the NFC West for the third time in four seasons.
