Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones will miss a second consecutive game on Sunday due to a toe injury, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Julio Jones to miss Falcons’ game against 49ers with toe injury
Jones will miss his second game in a row.

Despite missing last week’s game against the Rams, Jones still leads the NFL in receiving with 1,253 yards. They fared well without him last week against the Rams in a 42-14 blowout victory, where Matt Ryan threw for 237 yards and three touchdowns. Taylor Gabriel led the team in receiving with 82 yards and a touchdown.
Gabriel has been a good addition for the Falcons this season. He averages 2.47 yards per route run, fourth-most among receivers with 200 or more routes run, according to Pro Football Focus.
The Falcons need every win they can get moving forward, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers also sitting at 8-5 and riding a five-game winning streak. The Bucs will be on the road this Sunday night when they take on the Dallas Cowboys.
Luckily for Atlanta, they’re welcoming the San Francisco 49ers to the Georgia Dome, with Chip Kelly’s team looking for its first win since Week 1 when it knocked off the Rams, 28-0.
