NFL scores 2016: Live results, highlights, news, and more

The NFL playoff picture continues to sort itself out as several teams punched their tickets in Week 15. The Cowboys were the first team to clinch a spot earlier this month, and this week, the Seahawks, Raiders, and Patriots joined them.

The biggest game of the 1 p.m. slate Sunday featured the Giants hosting the Lions. The Giants proved, once again, that their defense can play with a hot offense and come away with the win.

Green Bay earned a hard-fought win over the Bears in sub-zero temperatures, and the Packers’ hot streak takes them one step closer to the Lions and the NFC North title. This division likely won’t be decided before Week 17.

In the late afternoon, the Patriots won easily in Denver and are back in the driver’s seat for home-field advantage. The Raiders won as well and are back on top in the AFC West. Oakland’s win clinched their first playoff berth since 2002.

Sunday Night Football saw Dak Prescott complete 32 of 36 passes in the Cowboys’ 26-20 win over the red-hot Buccaneers, who saw their five-game winning streak snapped.

And on Monday night, the Panthers dealt a blow to Washington’s playoff chances with a 26-15 victory. Carolina has back-to-back wins and improves to 6-8 as it tries to finish strong in a disappointing season.
